Terms of Service
Version: 2026.7.1
Service
CareerClear provides career exploration, assessment, and planning tools for individuals, families, and learning institutions. Guidance is decision support only. It is not licensed counseling, admissions advice, immigration advice, or employment placement.
Accounts & acceptable use
You must provide accurate information, protect access to your account, and not misuse the platform — including scraping, harassment, unlawful content, or attempts to bypass entitlements.
Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans (Individual, Family, Institution) renew until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe and/or Paystack depending on market. Prices are shown in the local billing currency for your selected market. Taxes may apply. Failed payments may enter a short grace period before features revert to Free.
Family workspaces
Family plan administrators may invite household members, compare learner profiles, and share pathway discussions. Parents and guardians should respect learner agency and applicable consent rules for minors.
Institutions
Institution admins are responsible for seat assignment, lawful student data upload, and counselor oversight. Classroom mode is for facilitated guidance sessions. Institutional processing is also governed by the Institution DPA.
Refunds
Monthly plans: unused time is generally non-refundable except where required by law or within 7 days of the first paid charge if unused. Annual plans: pro-rata refunds may be considered within 14 days of the first charge if seats were not materially used. Contact billing@bacenik.com. See the Refund Policy for full detail.
Intellectual property
Bacenik and its licensors own the platform. You retain rights to content you submit; you grant Bacenik a license to process it solely to provide the service.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bacenik is not liable for career outcomes, admissions decisions, or indirect damages. Aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the prior 12 months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence — including UK and EU consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.
